"A living corridor up to the open sea"
In collaboration with Marc Lozza, François Taroni & Clara Wolf
In Quimper, Breton confluence, two powerful metabolisms interact to create a unique ecosystem. A blue thread, the Odet River, and a green thread, Mont Frugy, irrigate the city like arteries emerging from the greater landscape. The natural environment is offered to city dwellers thanks to a new park along the riverbank: a new interface between Odet and Frugy.
At its end, the Locmaria district is stimulated to revitalize this centrality built around Breton arts and crafts. The “Ilot Rozmaria” will host the new "Ateliers de Locmaria" which promote social interactions for the development and transmission of these crafts. Urban ruptures are blurred, landscape continuities are enhanced, the city's relationship with nature is rediscovered. Quimper’s energy is released.
